FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
AUGUST 19, 2004

The accounting and business consulting firm of David B. Robinson, CPA, headquartered at 14111 Midlothian Turnpike in the Historic 1850s Ivymont Manor House in Midlothian, Virginia has announced that it closed its Downtown Richmond, Virginia satellite office at the end of July.

Originally opened January 1, 1998, the office had been located in the 700 Centre in Downtown Richmond. In announcing the closing of the satellite office, David Robinson, the firm’s principal, said, “That office was very special to me but it was time to withdraw and reallocate my resources elsewhere in order to invest in an area that I think needed my professional presence.”

“I’ve always thought that any successful company should use their resources to promote the revitalization of depressed or underdeveloped areas. This has always been my philosophy with the establishment of satellite offices.

When I opened the Downtown Richmond Office on January 1, 1998, the area around Seventh and Franklin Streets was woefully depressed. Now, a little over six years later the opposite is true because of the construction of the new Federal Courthouse and the Arts Center.” Robinson continued, “Though it was time to move on from Downtown Richmond, I will be proud to announce the establishment of another satellite office very shortly.”

The accounting and business consulting firm of David B. Robinson, CPA was founded in 1990 by David Robinson with five clients. The firm has over 1,275 today with two offices and four employees and is the largest accounting firm in Midlothian.
